  • Stability to deformation when heated to +80 ° C.

The kind of base determines the material’s strength:

  • for fiberglass – 300 N;
  • for polyester fiber – 350 N;
  • for frame fiberglass – 600 N.

For KHPP and HKP, the service life is five years; for EPP and ECP, it is seven years; and for CCI and TKP, it is up to ten years.

Unlike many other rolled bitumen coatings, the bicrost surpasses roofing materials when considering the strength parameter and other features, all the while remaining the most economical materials in the niche. The material is appropriate for use in any climate, per SNiP 23-01.

Dimensions and weight

One meter is the standard roll width for material. For a bikrost with a crumbs-coated top, the length can be 10 meters; for material with an upper coating in the form of a film, it can be 15 meters.

  • 45 kg for CCI, EPP and CPP;
  • 60 kg for TKP, ECP and HKP.


Bicrost is a material that poses a fifth-grade fire risk. It is:

  • flammable (group B3 according to GOST 30402-96);
  • strong-frail (group G4, according to GOST 30244-94);
  • strongly spreading the flame (RP3 group, according to GOST R 51032-97).

GOST 12.1.005-88 governs the production of BIROST material, and it must adhere to sanitary rules No. 1042-73, which deal with the arrangement of technical processes and were authorized by the USSR MH. When bitumen rolled material is being produced, the amount of dangerous substances in the air shouldn’t be higher than what is considered acceptable.

Fire hazard
