How then do you create the operable roof?
- On a concrete base, all the cracks between the slabs sealant are closed.
- Make a sloping layer of light concrete and carefully align it. Any filler is suitable, but it is best if it is expanded clay. In this case, the layer will give not only a slope, but also good thermal insulation.
- The sloppy layer is given to gain strength, after which defects are removed on it: recesses, cracks, chips are closed.
- In the places of adjustments to the concrete base to the walls from the solution, fillets are made – the transition elements of 100 × 100 mm of a triangular or concave shape that are very similar to the skirting boards, which help to avoid the crease and rupture of vapor barrier.
- After the fillets solidified, the surface is cleaned of garbage and dirt, exhausted.
- Depending on the type of vapor barrier, the surface is either specified (covered with bitumen or polymer primer), or glue is applied to it. It is important that the concrete is dry. Most of the materials cannot be used if the humidity of the concrete surface is more than 15%.
- A vapor barrier is mounted on a concrete base with a mandatory institution on the wall to the entire height of the heat -insulating layer.
- A heater is laid on top of vapor barrier. Optimal if the heat -insulating material does not absorb moisture. For example, it can be extruded polystyrene or polyurethane foam. But ordinary mineral wool in dense slabs is also acceptable.
- On the plates, waterproofing is spread in at least two layers. Depending on the type, it is either fixed mechanically or fed at the junctions. The hydraulic barrier is bought on the walls of 150-200 mm.
- A reinforced cement-sand screed is poured over waterproofing with a thickness of at least 50 mm.
- After hardening the screed, the finish coating is laid on it.
Hygroscopic heaters play a critical role in ensuring that the waterproofing and vapor barrier layers of the exploited flat roof are connected into a single closed circuit when used for thermal insulation. This is required to shield the insulation from outside and interior moisture.
