TPO-membranes

However, in actuality, things worked out differently: TPO membranes only make up a tiny portion of the market, similar to how common EPDM membranes are. And their wildly inconsistent quality is to blame.

TPO membranes are a higher-tech product than PVC film; their quality is determined by how closely the technological process and raw materials are followed. The life of the TPO membrane drastically decreases up to the appearance of defects a few years after laying, so it is worth breaking the technology or substituting a high-quality synthetic rubber or adding less expensive additives. Low-quality antipypees, which are added to the membrane to raise the combustibility class, may result from such an effect, for instance.

The primary disadvantage of the TPO membrane is its significant reliance on production conditions for operational characteristics.
